Abstracton
Abstraction can mean different things, personally I think that abstraction means something that you can't see but when I researched it meant that " something that involve idea rather than event". Abstraction can be used as well in photography as we can see in loads of different photographs taken.
Make sure you explain how it is images simplified down to simple shapes.

Formal Elements
Focus: Which areas appear clearest or sharpest in the photograph? Which do not?
Light: Which areas of the photograph are brightest? Are there any shadows? Does the photograph allow you to guess the time of day? Is the light natural or artificial? Harsh or soft? Reflected or direct?
Line: Are there objects in the photograph that act as lines? Are they straight, curvy, thin, thick? Do the lines create direction in the photograph? Do they outline? Do the lines show movement or energy?
Repetition: Are there any objects, shapes or lines which repeat and create a pattern?
Shape: Do you see geometric (straight edged) or organic (curvy) shapes? Which are they?
Space: Is there depth to the photograph or does it seem shallow? What creates this appearance? Are there important negative (empty) spaces in addition to positive (solid) spaces? Is there depth created by spatial illusions i.e. perspective?
Texture: If you could touch the surface of the photograph how would it feel? How do the objects in the picture look like they would feel?
Value/Tone: Is there a range of tones from dark to light? Where is the darkest value? Where is the lightest?

Abstraction Pictures
The formal element i have chosen is shape, and i choose shape because shape is what i want to relate with my abstract and also you can see a lot of little shape in my image either squares, rectangles, triangles. I have varieties of the images i like but i think that i like the one with papers and with different colours because you can't really tell what is going on in the image.
This is the image i like the most because there are varieties of things that i like in the image for example they are different colours in it and i also like it because it is edited in photoshop and i also put in different varieties of objects like on the left of the image i put in the picture of the floor i took, and on the right there is the picture of the paper, and inside the room so i made them into one image.

Photogram
One of the most famous photograms makers is Man Ray. Man Ray was an American Visual artist but spent most of his life in Paris, he was a significant contributor to Dada and Surrealism movements. He produced a lot of work through out the media, he is best known for his photograms pictures. I like his photogram pictures because they are really interesting and also i like the way puts a lot of objects in his photograms but i also like the way in which he places the object around so we can all see the objects. He makes his photograms abstract by adding different type of objects in the images and also the way he places them. I like 4th image because you can't really tell what is in the picture this makes it look more abstract.
Abstraction Photobook
My Photobook is going to involve 12 pages and also going to have like an abstract cover and also have like a Japanese writing on the cover for example my inspiration is this book which I found online but I like the design because it has something to do with it even though it is abstract. It also has like Colour in it, for example Red signifies sorrow or sadness which shows what the maker is going through. These are some of the images I found online each of it has a detail to it which means that the viewer can kind of imagine what the maker can be thinking.
Why 12 pages? Why Japanese writing on the cover, how does that link to abstraction?

Abstract Pictures
This was my favourite image that i took at home. I like this one because you can't really tell what tile i am zooming into. I also like this images because there is not one colour tile but there are two colour and i also like this images because of the shape. This image was really good for me because i thought of what abstract picture i wanted and i decided to take the picture of what i wanted.
Jaromir Funke
Jaromir Funke was Czech photographer. He was a well respected photographer in the 20s. He was influenced by Pictoralism, he was inspired by Man Ray photograms which inspired him to start making abstract photograms. He used everyday objects often objects from his laboratory and he used sunlight to reflect his objects he also used different elements in his photgraph. I like the second image because of how abstract it is and also the way i try to look at one side of the picture but my eyes move to the next one. This is unique image because of how many viewers see it and also the way different type of elements are used in this photograph like LINE as he places his image in a disorganising way.
Ernst Haas
Ernst Haas was an Austrian-American Photojournalist and colour photographer, he entered the darkroom for the first time he learned how to make negative pictures in his dark room in his house. He started taking himself serious as a photographer as he was inspired by another Photographer. I like his abstraction picture because of how he takes them and also the resolution of his camera. I like the third images the most because it looks like he made it from different papers he cut out and put everything in on view. I also like this image because of the colours that are not to bright but also easy to catch the eyes of the viewer. Most of Haas's pictures are very discrete in that they are always hard to understand and pick out. He plays a lot with the formal elements and his pictures are very unique.
Uta Barth
Uta Barth was born in Vienna. Her work has been represented in so many museums, which means she is recognise in so many countries. Her work is inspirational because it has so many concepts her images. I like her images because you can't really tell what is in the picture and because it is blurry and also i like the tone of her images because it is quite bright and also a bit low which is quite impressive. I also think her work is interesting because even though there is not much matter in the images, your eyes are drawn to the smallest things in the picture, even though some of her pictures are blurry there is always an interpretation for the image. I like the second image because of the use of light and also the way it makes me wonder what is in the image when it is not blurry.
My chosen photographer is Ernst Haas because i like his images because it easy to make because you just have to zoom in into objects but also you just have to get objects scattered and then you have to take a picture of it.
How to make Ernst Haas abstraction photographs
- Get a camera, with a macro lenses so you can zoom in better.
- Get all the pictures object you need.
- Scatter them around.
- Then take the picture zoomed in with all images scattered.
- Images with texture, for example papers with torn edges.
- Any thing that gives interest for example drops of water
- Get anything that has a lot of colours that has a lot of subject matter.

This was some of my photograms the first one is my favourite one because it the letters in the photograms where placed from another picture, this is interesting because i had to place another picture on it i didn't know it was going coming out the way it came out because the letters showed up perfectly.
Duotones
This was my duotones i changed i made it dark blue because some people usually choose Red and Black but i choose blue because it makes it look irregular and also makes it look more abstract.
I made a collage with 5 of my best abstract photographs and i made a abstract collage with them, i enjoyed the task because I knew what to do and also i had various ideas on what i want i want. The task was quite challenging because i had to choose carefully what picture i wanted to put on the collage. This was the collage i made through Photoshop.
I took more abstract pictures which I thought was really good and also really abstract. I like the third one because it is really abstract because they are like three things in the image that i could have taken an image of but taking a picture of this three things really makes the photograph abstract.
This was an edited image that i made with Photoshop. I combined two images together and i cut some of the bits out and i joined them together. I like this edited image that i done because it consists of different type of photographs.
This was the photograph book i made, this wasn't really good because i could have done better but I kind like it because it is simple and doesn't have to much decorations which is how i like it. I could have added different things like a good cover not a simple cover with more colours or a image to do with abstraction.
SAUL LEITER
Saul Leiter was an American photographer who is known for his street photography and also the way in which his photograph are taken, he started off taking black and white pictures but in 1948 he began with coloured image. I like his photographs because of how much details there is in one image and I also like his photographs because of how it may mean some something and also because of how it makes me wonder if there is a hidden meaning behind the image. I like the second image below because you can't really see who the person is and also what the person is doing but i also like it because the image lets you give your own interpretation about it. The second images makes me wonder if the man is doing anything behind the glasses.
- I choose this image because it is quite a mystery because you don't know what the man is doing and also you don't know if he looking at the mirror or trying to get something.
- What i think is surprising about the photograph is that the man is standing there and he looks like he is sad and he is looking at the mirror.
- I think Light is the most important as he focuses on light and also space.
- It is important because in tight space he manage to get a picture and a reflection.
-You don't know what he is taking a picture off.

Saul Leiter Paintings.
This are Saul Leiter paintings I really like his paintings because he really uses a lot of colour which is really nice because it brings an aspect to the paintings which is really nice and i also like his paintings because of his positioning of his colours.
This were pictures i took because i just wanted to experiment with different pictures. I also done this photoshoot because i just wanted to try different lightens and also i just felt like doing a photoshoot but at some point in the photoshoot i covered some bit of the lens for 2 images which i thought was good because i was trying to focus on their head.
Abstraction Page Review
I like my abstraction page because the way it is made and also the content in it and also i like my abstraction page because there is numerous photo shoots, experiment and also famous photographers work reviews. Overall i really think i could have added more but based on the content of work i think i have tried with the experiments.
WWW: I really think i have experimented with different aspects of abstraction. I also think that my different images of abstraction merged together is really good and also i really think that my artist research went well because i found out different information about my artist research and also I found out about different artist that i didn't know about.
EBI: I feel like that i could have added more details to my work and also write a little bit about every experiment and research that i done. I could also have done more experiment with my abstraction research and i could have taken more pictures,
